Trekking Sapa, stay at Topas Ecolodge

At the elevation of 1,600 meters, Sapa is a delightful former French hill station situated in the mountainous region of Vietnam's northwest, neat the Chinese border. The region is home to many ethnic minority groups, each wearing traditional and colorful attire. This trip includes a trek through the hills and valleys of the Sapa region, discovering several different minorities along the way together with wonderful stay at Topas Ecolodge

The night before: Transfer from your hotel to Hanoi Railway Station for the night train to Lao Cai. Overnight in AC soft sleeper cabin.

Day 1: Trek and home stay (B, L, D)
Arrive in Lao Cai around 5.30 am. Met and greeted by our guide, transferred to Sapa. Have breakfast at a local restaurant. After breakfast take a walk around the small town take some photos. We start trekking at 10 am. We will trek on small trails down hill to Muong Hoa Valley and pay visits to villages of Black H’mong and Dzay ethnic minority groups. Picnic lunch on the way. We will reach Tavan, a village of Dzay minority around 4.30 pm. Dinner and overnight in a local house.

Day 2: Trek and home stay (B, L, D)
Have breakfast then leave Ta Van Village at 8.30 am for Giang Ta Chai, a village of Red Dzao minority. Today we trek through thick bamboo forest and enjoy great view of rice terraces. We will reach Giang Ta Chai at noon, wander around the village and have picnic lunch by Muong Hoa Rive. In the afternoon we cross the river heading to Tay ethnic minority group village of Ban Ho. We will have dinner and overnight in a traditional house-on-stilt of Tay hosts.

Day 3: Topas Eco Lodge (B, L, D)
After breakfast with Tay hosts, we leave Ban Ho trekking 3 km on good trails to the place where our Land Cruiser is waiting for you. Short transfer to Topas Eco Lodge. Upon arrival, we check and relax in the eco lodge. Lunch and dinner in the Eco Lodge. Overnight at Topas Eco Lodge.

Day 4: Sapa – Lao Cai Train Station (B)
Breakfast at Topas Eco Lodge. Relax in and take the shuttle bus at 11.30 am to Sapa Town. The bus drops you off in Sapa. You are free to discover the little beautiful town. We can visit Ham Rong Park or go shopping in Sapa market. Late in the afternoon, we take a bus ride to Lao Cai for night train back to Hanoi. Overnight on train (4-soft sleeper cabin with A/C)

Day 5: Hanoi Arrival
The train arrives in Hanoi around 4.30 am. Check in at the hotel in Hanoi old quarter for a shower and relax. Have Breakfast at the hotel. Check out at noon. Tour comes to an end.
